A sales enablement platform gives reps the content, training and guidance they need to sell, and shows leaders which of it moves deals. The strongest choices in 2026 are Seismic and Highspot by Seismic for content at scale, Mindtickle and Allego for readiness, Spekit for in-app guidance, Gong Enable for call-based coaching, and Proshort for private help during the buyer call.
Key takeaways
Pick by job, not by feature count: content management, readiness, in-app guidance, call-based coaching and live call help are different problems.
The market consolidated in 2026. Seismic now owns Highspot, Showpad absorbed Bigtincan, and Gong launched an enablement product.
Enablement that reaches the rep during the call is the newest layer. Most platforms still work before or after the conversation.

Proshort is our product. We say below where it fits and where another tool is the better buy.
What is a sales enablement platform?
A sales enablement platform is software that puts approved content, training and coaching in front of sellers at the moment they need it, then measures which of those assets and skills correlate with won deals. It sits between marketing, enablement and the front line, and it usually connects to the CRM so usage can be tied to pipeline.
Analysts increasingly call this category revenue enablement. Forrester made that switch because enablement has to be unified across every customer-facing team, not siloed by role. Most platforms combine five layers:
Content management: one governed library of decks, case studies and battlecards, with recommendations by deal stage.
Readiness: onboarding paths, courses, certifications and AI role-play.
In-flow guidance: tips and process help inside the CRM, email or browser.
Coaching from real calls: scoring conversations against your methodology and turning gaps into practice.
Analytics: which content, skills and plays show up in won deals.
What changed in sales enablement in 2026?
Three changes matter for anyone comparing vendors this year. First, consolidation: Seismic completed its merger with Highspot in August 2026, and Highspot now runs as Highspot by Seismic. Vector Capital combined Bigtincan and Showpad under the Showpad brand, which now includes Brainshark.
Second, call intelligence vendors moved into enablement. Gong launched Gong Enable in February 2026, built on the calls it already captures. Third, AI is now table stakes. Forrester argues the biggest barrier to value is organizational readiness, not missing functionality, so adoption planning matters more than demo polish.
The 11 best sales enablement platforms, grouped by job
Every tool below was checked on its own website in October 2026. We describe positioning in each vendor's terms and leave out prices we could not confirm.
1. Proshort: live help during the buyer call
Disclosure: Proshort is our product. Its assistant, Aria, joins Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams calls and puts the right answer, proof point and next question on the rep's screen the moment the buyer asks. Only the rep sees it. Answers come from your battlecards, docs and won calls, with the source shown.
The enablement layer is built from real conversations: an AI playbook drawn from the questions and objections buyers actually raise, refreshed every 24 hours, plus battlecards, courses, skills scoring and AI role-play against a buyer that pushes back. Best for: B2B teams whose gap shows up on the call itself. Less suited to: teams that mainly need a governed library for thousands of marketing assets.
2. Seismic: content at enterprise scale
Seismic calls itself the AI platform for revenue execution. It is known for content management and personalization at scale, and it adds Learning and Coaching (formerly Lessonly), meeting intelligence, digital sales rooms and its Aura AI. Best for: large enterprises with strict content governance and many regions or product lines.
3. Highspot by Seismic: plays and content in one place
Highspot is now a Seismic product line. Its site lists sales plays, AI role-play, digital sales rooms and GTM and Deal agents. Teams already on Highspot can keep it; buyers starting fresh should ask Seismic which platform it will invest in long term.
4. Showpad: content, readiness and buyer engagement
Showpad positions itself as a revenue effectiveness and enablement platform built around Showpad Genie AI. After the Bigtincan merger it covers content management, sales readiness (Showpad Brainshark), buyer engagement and role-play. Best for: field and channel-heavy teams that present content in person.
5. Mindtickle: readiness and certification
Mindtickle is a revenue enablement platform best known for structured onboarding, certification and AI role-play with instant feedback, alongside content management and conversation intelligence. Best for: enablement teams that run formal programs and need readiness data by rep and skill.
6. Allego: learning, content and video coaching
Allego describes itself as a revenue enablement platform covering learning and readiness, content management, conversation intelligence, digital sales rooms and AI agents. Best for: teams that rely on video practice and peer learning across distributed groups.
7. Spekit: guidance in the flow of work
Spekit calls itself an AI-native revenue enablement platform built for in-workflow execution. Its Chrome extension surfaces knowledge, learning paths and AI Sidekick coaching inside Salesforce and other web apps. Best for: fast-growing teams where process and product knowledge change every month.
8. Gong Enable: coaching from captured calls
Gong Enable uses customer conversations Gong already captures to find skill gaps, then trains reps with an AI Trainer, lessons and an AI Call Reviewer that scores calls. Best for: teams already on Gong that want coaching tied to real calls. Note that Gong scores and coaches after the call rather than helping during it.
9. Salesforce Sales Programs: enablement inside Sales Cloud
Formerly LevelJump, Sales Programs is Salesforce's own enablement product, built into the CRM, with a program builder, milestones tied to CRM outcomes and program analytics. It requires a Salesforce license. Best for: Salesforce-first teams that want onboarding milestones measured on pipeline data.
10. Guru: verified knowledge for reps and AI
Guru now positions itself as a governed knowledge layer for enterprise AI, with verification workflows that keep answers current and a browser extension that brings them into other apps. Best for: teams whose main problem is inconsistent answers across sales, support and product.
11. Whatfix: in-app adoption for CRM processes
Whatfix is a digital adoption platform. It overlays step-by-step guidance on business apps, adds product analytics, and offers Mirror for simulated practice. Best for: RevOps teams rolling out a new CRM process who need reps to follow it correctly.

How do you choose a sales enablement platform?
Start from the moment where deals stall, not from a feature checklist. The right platform is the one that changes what reps do at that moment. Use these five steps:
Name the gap. Reps cannot find content, new hires ramp slowly, the process is not followed, or reps freeze on tough questions on the call. Each gap points to a different category in the table.
Check where reps work. Confirm the platform reaches them in your CRM, email, Slack and meeting tool. If Salesforce is your system of record, read our guide to enablement platforms that integrate with Salesforce.
Ask where the content comes from. A playbook written once a year goes stale. Prefer tools that update guidance from real buyer conversations.
Plan for enterprise needs early. Large teams should check SSO, permissions by region, content governance, consent handling and security certifications before the pilot, not after it.
Pilot with one metric. Run 30 days with one team, measure a baseline first, and judge on that number, such as ramp time, stage conversion or content usage in won deals.
Which prompts should you use to test an AI enablement platform?
Most platforms now include an AI assistant. The fastest way to compare them is to ask each one the same questions on your own data during the trial and judge whether the answers are specific, sourced and usable:
"Which deals need my attention today, and why?"
"Brief me on all my upcoming calls today."
"Which objections came up most this month, and how well were they answered?"
"Evaluate MEDDICC coverage for all late-stage deals and list the gaps."
"Who needs coaching this week, and on which skill?"
"Play a skeptical IT buyer for our product and push back on security."
A tool that answers with generic advice, or without showing where the answer came from, will not hold up in front of a buyer. For more practice scenarios, see our AI role-play prompts for sales teams.
Where Proshort fits, and where it does not
Most enablement happens before the call (training, content) or after it (call scoring). Proshort adds the missing moment. Aria Live gives the rep a sourced answer in under a second while the buyer is still talking, and real-time objection handling tracks each concern until it is resolved. After the call, the same objections feed the AI playbook, courses and role-play drills.
Pricing is public: $75 per rep per month for the platform, and Aria Live at $3 per call hour, only on the calls you choose. If your main need is a governed content library, Seismic or Highspot is the better buy; for formal certification programs, look at Mindtickle. Proshort can also run alongside either one, as the layer that reaches reps during the call.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between sales enablement and revenue enablement?
Sales enablement traditionally supports new-business reps with content and training. Revenue enablement extends the same support to every customer-facing role, including account managers, customer success and partners. Most platforms on this list now market themselves as revenue enablement.
What is the best sales enablement app for a small team?
Small teams usually get more from one tool that covers their biggest gap than from an enterprise suite. Spekit suits teams whose process changes often, and Proshort suits teams whose deals stall on the call. Large content libraries and certification programs can wait until the team grows.
How much does a sales enablement platform cost?
Most enterprise enablement vendors quote prices after a sales conversation, and cost usually scales with seats and modules. Proshort publishes its pricing: $75 per rep per month for the platform, plus Aria Live at $3 per call hour on the calls you choose.
Do sales enablement platforms integrate with Salesforce?
Most do, but the depth varies from a full AppExchange package to a browser extension that only overlays the CRM. Check what data writes back to Salesforce and where reps see guidance. Our Salesforce integration guide compares this tool by tool.
Is AI replacing sales enablement teams?
No. AI drafts courses, scores calls and answers rep questions faster, but enablement teams still decide the methodology, messaging and priorities. The work shifts from building content by hand to curating what AI finds in real conversations.
